services and treatments offered to help you

I offer the following services to individuals, couples, groups, and organizations:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for depression and anxiety disorders.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an effective treatment that explores how thought patterns and negative beliefs about oneself, others, and/or the world can impact feelings and actions. By systematically identifying, challenging, and changing irrational, negative thoughts and beliefs, people can control the intensity of their moods and reactions.
- EMDR for people living with all forms of trauma
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is an innovative and comprehensive treatment protocol for PTSD and a variety of related mental health conditions. For more detailed information about EMDR, please click on the EMDR icon or visit www.emdr.org. There, you will find information about how EMDR was developed, research regarding EMDR effectiveness, and verification of my EMDR certification.
- General psychotherapy for the GLBTQI community
I have extensive experience and expertise working with the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning and intersex community. In particular, I am one of the few therapists in the area who specializes in GLBTQI couples therapy.
- Connecticut Military Support Program
I have been screened and trained to provide a range of mental health services to military service men and women as well as their dependents and family members. These services are confidential and will have no impact on your service career. Information about your care will only be released with your written permission.
